The field of science is dynamic, exploratory, and innovative. In effort to promote scientific careers and provide rich experiences to promising undergraduate students, the American Heart Association launched the S.U.R.E (Supporting Undergraduate Research Experiences) program in 2018-19. Northwestern University has served as a charter member since the programs inceptions and continues to proudly collaborate with the American Heart Association. To be eligible, applicants must: 1. Have an interest in scientific research and innovation. 2. Have a career interest in the health sciences or Post doctoral research. 3. Be a sophomore, junior, or senior, with a GPA of 3.3 or above. A GPA of 3.0 will be considered under special circumstances (Please explain below) 4. Application submitted by January 15th, 2026 at 12p 5. Be able to arrange room and board. Northwestern University does NOT provide housing. 6. Be eligible to complete an I9 form (Authorized to be employed in the United States) PROGRAM BENEFITS 1.
